Happy New Year
2nd January
Today we had our monthly fish fry dinner and we all decided to take our cookers and fish go head for the hill top and have our dinner up on the hill.
Our Men took the longboat (O'Leary) out to catch some fish for dinner and then we all clean it at the Landing and got it all ready for frying.We headed for Highest Point after Midday with our carving and basket weaving.
We all had a lovely time, it was a beautiful day spend together once again

Sorry folks this month we ran out of time to have the fish fry dinner but hopefully we will catch up in May.
Our dive group has been doing alot of diving and Dave has been teaching Turi how to dive and Turi haas been enjoying himself very much with Dave and the rest of the group.
Turi has never Scuba Dived or held a speargun in his hand before and Dave has taught him both and this month Turi speared his first fish, he didn't know what kind of fish it was and didn't care the only thing was going through his mind was he had killed his first fish.

We had our fish fry dinner at the Square this month as down the Landing or out on the hill top is getting a bit cool in the afternoons.
We still took our cooking equipment and cooked the fish and chips at the Square.
We all had great fun once again.

This month we had a new lot of Corrections join our fishing Club, one of them did a Maori speech at our meeting.

Today we finally managed to have a fish fry at the landing and we took the the longboat and had an enjoyable time once again.
